Limbuwan struggle committee puts off chakkajam

ILAM, Sept 17: The agitating Limbuwan Joint Struggle Committee has put off chakkajam stated to be enforced from Thursday demanding nine eastern districts across Arun the Limbuwan state.

Issuing a statement, the Committee has called off the pre-set chakkajam considering preparation for the celebration of Biswokarma pooja that falls on September 18, Friday.


Various struggle committees of different political parties have been staging struggle in east demanding a separate Limbuwan state integrating Ilam, Panchthar, Taplejung, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Dhankuta, Terhathum and Sanjhuwasabha districts.

With the move, the long and short route vehicles are seen plying on the road along the Mechi Highway. RSS
