Shekhar Limbu gave a 1-0 lead to RCT in the eighth minute of the match played at Simara Stadium, Bara but Karna Limbu leveled the scores in the 34th minute. Karna Limbu headed home in a pass from Bikram Limbu. He then scored his second goal in the 43rd minute.[break]
Laxmi Narayan Shrestha made it 3-1 in the 64th minute but Shekhar Limbu cut the deficit in the 70th minute.
Karna Limbu completed his hat-trick in the injury time of the match and Bishal Rai B sealed a 5-2 victory for Machhindra just before the final whistle. Machhindra forward Limbu was adjudged the man-of-the-match.
