Get ready for the year’s biggest musical celebration

KATHMANDU, Aug 7:
Nepali youths have in them strong love and craze for music. Be it gigs in the restaurants or big concerts by the streets, many music enthusiasts gather to tap their feet, bang their heads and sway along with the songs. A number of Nepali artists have gained a lot of recognition, love and respect for their talents. To take this very grace a step further, “Let’s Get Loud”, a musical event, is here, bringing together the beloved artists of the country, reaching out to a large number of Nepali audience.



Organized by Tuborg, the event, after two months of rigorous planning, is taking place in different cities of the country. Starting from August 7 to September 27, the event is seeing “Music on Wheel” – the promotion phase of the main event, which will incorporate touring of the Tuborg Musical Trucks. Local music artists will be dazzling the audience with their live performances while touring in the nearby cities and districts. The artists on tour are Harmony Band, Milan and All Red, Chij Gurung, Rajina Rimal, Nawaram Rai and Sign Band.[break]



“I am really excited about the event. I expect that my audience will enjoy my performances,” shared Rajina Rimal, one of the rising young Nepali singers.

Subhashkar Raj Rajkarnikar, the event manager said, “The main objective behind organizing the concert is to promote Nepali music and bring together popular Nepali bands in one platform.”



Even the artists are keen about the concerts. “The event is a chance for the fans residing in different places of Nepal to interact with their favorite singers and bands,” claimed the very popular artiste Nima Rumba. He added, “The musical concert will also be an escape for them from the saddening political conditions and natural calamities, because music has the power to heal different pains.”



Swapnil Sharma from The Shadows expressed his hopes that the concert will set a trend and bring together many more artists in the future.

“Considering the requests from the audience, I have decided to play the drum as well as sing. I’m really excited as it’s going to be a revival for me,” Adrian Pradhan from 1974 AD shared, adding, “We’re also really thankful to the sponsor for organizing the big show and we’re sure it will benefit the Nepali music industry. We’ll be performing our popular and evergreen hits during the concert.”



Sarik Bogati from Abhaya and the Steam Injuns also told about the enthusiasm of the band regarding the shows. He said, “We have a really big expectation from the event. The organizing team is really good and with all the planning done ahead, I’m pretty sure that the event will turn out great.”



So get geared up to see your favorite bands performing live. The main event will also have various other attractions along with sale of limited edition t-shirts, Tuborg badges and food stalls to keep you energized.



The main shows will be held at Mahendra Stadium, Nepalgunj (August 10), ANFA Technical Center, Butwal (August 17), Kampa Chour, Narayangadh (August 31), Public School, Dharan (September 14), Pradarshani Maidan, Pokhara (September 21) and Dashrath Stadium, Kathmandu (October 5). The seven artists performing are 1974 AD, Mukti & Revival, Robin and the New Revolution, Abhaya and the Steam Injuns, Sabin Rai & Elektrix, Nima Rumba and The Legend Band, and The Shadows.
