“The government should ask the Nepali embassies that are near the conflict zones and also look for alternative ways to rescue them,” he said.
Nepali Congress chief whip Laxman Prasad Ghimire accused the government of not taking the issue seriously and demanded that the government swing to action. “The government should take steps responsibly to rescue them,” he said.
Also, lawmakers Gagan Thapa, Chitra Bahadur KC and Nawaraj Koirala asked the government to immediately take action to rescue Nepali migrant workers trapped in the restive Middle East. The lawmakers had criticized the government for not working to reduce power cut and improve law and order situation in the country.
Meanwhile, the Constituent Assembly (CA) has inducted NC lawmaker Manmohan Bhattarai into the CA Committee on Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles. Similarly, NC lawmaker Ramesh Lekhak has been inducted into the Constitutional Committee (CC).
