Landslides in Lampata of Babiyachaur VDC-5 has stopped direct transportation in the Beni-Darbang road, the District Police Office said. As a result, the people of the VDCs in the west part of the district including Babiyachaur, Arman, Niskot, Bima, Malkang among others have been facing problem to come to the district headquarters.Likewise, transportation of daily consumables to Darbang bazaar has been affected as result of the landslides, that swept away around 80 meters of road in Lampata, police said.
Landslides at Lampata has been a recurring problem during monsoon since the past four years but the concerned authority has not taken it seriously, complain the locals. RSS
