Kohalpur, Tiger register win

NEPALGUNJ, April 15: Kohalpur Youth Club and Nepal Tiger continued their winning streak in the ongoing Nagarik T20 Cricket Tournament in Nepalgunj winning their respective matches on Friday.



Kohalpur defeated Nepaljung Times by 33 runs. Winning the toss Kohalpur opted to bat first and scored 167 runs losing four wickets. [break]



Man-of-the-match Bhupendra Thapa was the highest scorer with 58 runs while Sanam Shrestha scored 26 runs. Prakash Shrestha, Salman Faruki, Kunwar Dhananjay Singh and Prashant Joshi shared a wicket each. In reply, Times were bowled out in 18.3 posting 134 runs on board. Biraj Bhusal scored unbeaten 37 runs while Rikesh Shakya scored 32 runs. Ghanashyam Rawat took three wickets while Yogesh Bam took two.



Meanwhile, Nepal Tiger beat Trimurti Sports Club by 92 runs in another match. Tiger scored 178 runs losing five wickets after winning the toss. Tajuhidin Halwai scored 47 runs and Wasim Halwai scored 41 runs.



Ravindra Chaudhary took two wickets while Karamat Khan, Anuj Nag and Dhirendra Chaudhary shared a wicket each for Trimurti. Tight bowling from Tiger restricted Trimurti at 86 runs off 17.5 overs. Aman Shrestha was the highest scorer with 27 runs. Roshan Basnet, Ajay Yadhav and Sashiranjan Karna took two wickets each.
