"The kids are learning with great interest and hard work," Shrestha told myrepublica.com. In the first four days of training, the children were given lessons on controlling the ball, dribbling and taking it forward and backward.

"The children will develop good football skills during the two-week training," said former footballer Shrestha.

Sanket Gurung says he used to play football with friends but he learnt a lot more from his coach. He wishes to be famous like Ronaldo. He sports jersey number 7 of his favorite player while learning football. Roshin is an avid fan of David Beckham and he too sports jersey number 7 like David Beckham.

"His room is full of Ronaldo´s photos. He wants to be a successful footballer like Ronaldo," says Sanket Gurung´s mother Saraswati. She says she sent him for the football course as it would be better than spending time watching cartoons and films throughout the holidays.

The children who were eager to learn football got the opportunity due to the initiative of photojournalist Sudarshan Ranjit who is also affiliated to Sahara Club.
