Kathmandu UML forms 91 member committee

KATHMANDU, Jan 10: CPN-UML Kathmandu District Convention announced 91-member new committee, today.



Nirmal Kuikel has been elected the Chairman of the district committee.



Similarly, Krishna Rai, Bidhya Sundar Shakya and Sarita Neupane are elected vice-chairman, secretary and joint- secretary, respectively.



According to newly elected Chairman Kuikel, The convention elected forty people including 10 women on the basis of geography.



One woman and one man from Kathmandu Metropolitan City and one from Kritipur Municipality are elected.



Thirteen people have been elected from open competition, 13 from women reserved, one from Deula community, four men and two women from indigenous Newar community. Likewise, four men and two women from non- Newars’ and three including one woman from Dalit community have been elected from the convention.



About 500 representatives had participated in the convention which was started from Friday.
