Kalikot closed after student's murder

KATHMANDU, March 12: The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) and family of a student, Raj Bahadur Malla, who was stabbed to death allegedly by a cadre of Maoists´ Young Communist League (YCL), forced closure of Kalikot district Thursday.



The protestors moved around the city carrying Malla´s body. The protestors also damaged a vehicle of a lawmaker who had visited the district to collect people´s opinion for drafting the new constitution.



Malla´s family has accused YCL cadre Padam Bahadur Rawat of stabbing him to death at a hotel in Birendranagar bus park, Monday.



The protestors have demanded action against the culprit and compensation to the victim´s family.
