Kalaiya, Birgunj road section shut down

PARSA, Aug. 3: Vehicular movement on Kalaiya-Birgunj road section has come to a standstill for the second straight day on Wednesday since early morning due to the obstruction by transport entrepreneurs.



The transport entrepreneurs here have been protesting the manhandling on one of their colleagues. They had also obstructed the road section on Tuesday.[break]



People are facing problem and they are compelled to pay high fare and instead travel by horse-drawn cart to reach to their destination due to the transport shut down.



A group of 12 persons had manhandled Saroj Patel, helper of the bus (Na 3 Kha 1889), at Bhulahi chowk on July 30.



President of United Transport Entrepreneurs’ Committee, Kalaiya, Mohan Sah Kanu said they have obstructed the road after police released the accused in the manhandling case.
