The movement entitled ‘Media Movement for Cinema Culture’ will work as a common platform where cinema enthusiasts will discuss and plan various issues related to the Nepali Cinema Industry.[break]
The initiative, according to the press release, is an effort to bring forth creative and technical advancement in the field of Nepali Cinema.
At a meet organized on Tuesday, the group passed a thirteen point agreement. To build a code of conduct especially for film journalism and criticism, to support and encourage original creative and artistic film making and to help increase film literacy are among the points put forth.
The press release also states that the group will work towards proving journalists with opportunities to participate in international film festivals, to protect the right of expression in films and journalism, to encourage the local film scene and improve the industry as a whole.
