KATHMANDU, March 2: In a bid to lure more and more investors from country and abroad, an information center (Portal: Invest Nepal) is being launched from the beginning of the next fiscal year.

The government has already decided to mark 2013 as the investment year and also formed the Investment Board to bring in more investments in Nepal to generate more employment opportunities and pave a way to economic development.[break]

The center would be launched with the initiative of the government and Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI). Entire information about investment and investment sectors in Nepal will be made available and it is expected to help in implementing one-door policy in foreign investment, Director General of CNI, Meghnath Neupane said.

Information regarding the investment in energy, town development, agriculture, handicraft, fruits, and herbs, among other sectors will be disseminated through the center.
