Indian minister arriving Friday

KATHMANDU, Jan 12: Indian Minister for External Affairs SM Krishna is visiting Nepal Friday for a three-day official visit, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.



This is the highest-level visit by any Indian official since the formation of the present government in last May.



Krishna is scheduled to meet President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Constituent Assembly Chairman Subas Nembang and Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala, among others.



Five MoUs will be signed during Krishna´s visit, according to Dr Chiranjivi Nepal, an advisor to Koirala.



The MoUs will be about Indian assistance for postal roads, science research center, strengthening Nepal Police Academy and upgrading of Nepse.
