He was speaking at a tea reception organized by the NC affiliated Nepal Tarun Dal (NTD) in the Capital Saturday, to welcome the newly promulgated constitution and extend greetings on the occasion of forthcoming festivals like Dashain, Tihar and Chhath and Nepal Sambat.
Saying that efforts are on to form consensus government within October 8 as per the call by the President and the constitution, NC leader Deuba said that the majority government would be formed in case of a failure to forge agreement for a consensus government within that period.
When asked if an agreement was reached among major political parties, during the signing of the 16-point agreement, for power-sharing on key positions of President, Prime Minister and Speaker, Deuba said that he was unaware of it.
