The water flow has abruptly increased in the Narayani River with the rise in rain in mountainous region.
The rising water current has started eroding land and dismantling infrastructures, informed Gupta.
Since there have been no works of maintenance of spurs and embankments this year, the upsurge in the water level may sweep away the structures.
Nepali farmers had to bear the loss of physical property including land and crops worth Rs. billions last year when the dam along the right side of Gandak barrage in Triveni collapsed in 2059 BS.
