House meet called off

KATHMANDU, FEB 9: The parliament meeting scheduled for Wednesday has been called off.



Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal was slated to address the meeting which has been postponed for Thursday by pasting a notice.[break]



CPN-UML and UCPN (Maoist) have not yet reached an agreement on the power-sharing after voting Khanal for PM six days ago. Both parties have claimed Home Ministry which had delayed the appointment of ministers.



The two parties have also differences over status of the seven-point agreement signed by Khanal and Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal just before the prime ministerial election. Maoists are claiming that it´s an agreement whereas Khanal, after pressure from his party leaders, is terming it only a guideline.
