IGP Shah presented a report on the Nepal Police to the Home Secretary on the occasion. Secretary Ghimire discussed about the ground situation of Nepal Police and contemporary issues with senior police officers.
Home Secretary Ghimire also participated in an interaction through conference call with the Regional Police Chiefs on the occasion.
Issuing directives after holding discussions, Ghimire said the government expected full support from all the police personnel on maintaining law and order and effective crime control measures.
He also urged the police personnel to transform the working style and attitude in tune with the time. He said the police personnel should work for the welfare of the country and the people by changing their working style.
He also called on the police organization to be sensitive regarding the gender violence within the organization and warned that nobody would be spared from legal action if found involved in such type of violence.
IGP Shah expressed gratitude to the government for upgrading the ration allocated to the police personnel. He said the Police force was committed to fulfilling the responsibilities assigned to it in spite of the dearth of resources.
