The three-day event will have the performances of bands from the USA, Finland, Norway, and Nepal. The event taking place from November 29 to December 1, intends to promote the Blues music along with the originality of the artist inspired by their roots, according to the organizers.[break]
“Blues originated from the West but here in the festival, we aim to integrate it with the roots and the folklore of the country,” says Samik Kharel, festival director. He adds that every native has its own Blues quality, and through the festival, they are trying to explore the ‘cultural’ Blues music.
They also have been organizing an Indian chapter of the festival since a couple of years and sooner, probably next year, they will bring the Indian and Nepali bands together to perform in both Nepal and India.
Sean Carney , Amy Hart and ´Steady´ Matt of USA, Oh no! Blue elephant with no hat or straw is flying on air, a band with an assemblage of artists from Norway and Nepal NSV Faculty, will be playing at the event along with Nepali bands Night, Midnight Riders and Urja.
The headlining band of the festival is Wentus Blues Band from Finland.
