A day before, officials at Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said the meeting is scheduled to hold discussions on various issues of mutual interests including trade, commerce, investment, border security, tourism promotion and management and development of physical infrastructures. [break]
The meeting will also review the progress of the projects run with Chinese investment in Nepal. The problems seen in the implementation of West Seti Project and Pokhara Regional Airport and other agreements between the two countries will also be reviewed during the meeting.
Ying is expected to meet Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha among others during her stay in Nepal.
The delegation will leave for Beijing on Tuesday after a three-day visit to Kathmandu.
The foreign secretary level mechanism, established in 1966, meets every four years.
Nepal and China have established two separate bilateral mechanisms, one at the level of foreign minister and another at the level of foreign secretary.
