ITAHARI, Nov 16: The Fochodas lower secondary school operated at Rajgunj Sinawari VDC in the southern belt of Sunsari district has come into operation from Wednesday.

The school, which has been closed for the past six months over the teacher appointment row, has resumed its daily curricular activities due to the effect of a public complaint desk established at the Prime Minister’s office. [break]

The school remained shut for a long time after the dispute between the two groups culminated in attack and counterattack over the appointment of a teacher in the school on last May 24.

Following the strong directive from the District Education Office to resume the operation of the school on the initiative of Hello Sarkar, the school has started teaching students.

The complaint desk at the PM’s office initiated the act to cut through the problem persisted for a long after a journalist based in Sunsari lodged complaint at the desk on Tuesday demanding strong action in this regard.

No academic activities took place in the school during the year due to the dispute, said the school sources.

The clash took a nasty turn after the dissent side flared up the issue of appointment of Lalit Mehata and Sushila Devi Mehata in relief quota and Remkhelal Mehata in PCF quota, resulting in a closure of school.

No sides concerned took initiative to open the school even though the issue was massively raised by the media.
