Hasami was undergoing treatment for severe burn injuries that she suffered at the hands of a youth, who set her ablaze for rejecting his proposal to elope.
Likewise, the Office has expressed condolence to the bereaved family members and wished for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
The concerned body of Nepal government has already initiated investigation into the incident leading to the death of an innocent girl in a barbaric manner and will book the guilty at any cost, the Office said.
Similarly, it is reported that the government has made arrangement to bear all the costs involved in the treatment of Hasami and immediately provide relief amount of Rs 30,000 to the family members of the deceased through Bardiya District Administration Office.
The government will leave no stone unturned to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in future and also asks for support from political parties, civil society, NGOs, right activists and journalists in this initiative, states a press release issued by the OPMCM.
