Secretary Brinda Hada filed the petition accusing the prime minister, minister for irrigation, the chief secretary and secretary at the ministry of irrigation contempt of not implementing August 23 SC verdict staying Hada´s transfer. [break]The court had also issued a show cause notice to the government.
Hada in her petition has claimed that the defendants have appointed Pratap Kumar Pathak as the secretary at the ministry of irrigation in defiance of the SC verdict.
Talking to media persons, Hada claimed that the officials at the ministry of irrigation refused to receive the letter regarding the court order. "They accepted the letter only on the second day," she added.
A single bench of Justice Bharat Bahadur Karki had ruled that Hada be allowed to work at Ministry of Irrigation until the court passed its final verdict.
Challenging the government´s decision to transfer her on deputation, Hada had earlier filed a petition accusing the government of violating the existing Civil Servant Act.
