Similarly, other team of Nepal Police Club comprising Sushila Thapa and Kopila Thapa, and Armed Police Force (APF) team consisting of Binita Budathoki and Nebika Chaudhary registered twin victories apiece. Police team defeated Binita Thapa and Saraswati Nepali´s pair of the Midwestern Region 21-10, 21-14, and Eastern Region´s Mitra Rai and Purna Rai´s pair 21-8, 21-3.
APF´s team of Budathoki and Chaudhary edged past Ramila Tandukar and Kamala Pun´s pair of the Central Region 21-11, 15-21, 15-11. The duo´s pair also overcame Jayalaxmi and Bhawani Chaudhary´s pair of Far-western Region 21-11, 21-5.
Meanwhile, the other team of APF, consisting of Nima Shrestha and Jyoti Adhikari overcame, Manisha Tamang and Kripa Adhikari´s pair from the Central Region 21-11, 21-12.
In other matches, Lilima Angdangbe and Puja Dhimal´s pair from the Eastern Region toiled hard to beat Jayalaxmi and Bhawani Chaudhary´s pair from the Far-western Region 22-24, 24-22, 16-14. Mid-western Region´s Binita Thapa and Sarswati Nepali´s team from Mid-western Region edged past Khusi Khadka and Manati Ale´s pair from Western Region 21-13, 21-19.
The three-day long tournament is participated 14 teams in total -- two team each of five development regions, Nepal Police and APF. Earlier, National Sports Council´s Member Secretary Yubaraj Lama inaugurated the event being sponsored by Pentagon College.
