On the first day of the event, a competition was held at Mid-Valley College in Kathmandu where contestants were made to present a PowerPoint presentation on their businesses and were asked questions regarding the same.
On the second day, the awards ceremony was held at Hyatt Regency where Managing Director of Buddha Air, Birendra Basnet, was appointed the keynote speaker for the evening.
The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards is the premier global competition for undergraduate and graduate students who own and operate businesses while attending college or university. Nominees compete against their peers from around the world.
Iwan Wagle, Abhijit Gupta and Gayatri Giri stood first, second and third and were awarded cash prizes of Rs 50,000, 25,000 and 10,000 respectively along with other prizes.
Mid-Valley International College is set to sponsor the overall expenses of National winners to compete in Global Competition.
