GPK's reservation on judges' appointment

BIRATNAGAR, Sept 2: Nepali Congress (NC) President Girija Prasad Koirala has warned that the proposed provision on appointing judges directly by the parliament both at the center and in the provinces will invite serious accident in future.



The provision on appointing Chief Justice from outside the SC justices will invite accidents and that the NC is planning to introduce an entirely new concept in this issue, Koirala told reporters at Biratnagar, where he arrived for a three-day stay. But he refused to divulge the details of the concept the NC planned to propose.
