Govt allocates Rs 2 billion for incomplete constituency strategic roads

KATHMANDU, July 2: The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has allocated Rs 2 billion in the upcoming fiscal year's budget to complete unfinished constituency strategic road projects across 39 districts.



The allocation, included in the ministry's Annual Development Programme for fiscal year 2026/27, is intended to support incomplete road projects based on their funding requirements.

Among the largest allocations, Kanchanpur has been earmarked Rs 145 million, Morang Rs 135 million, Makwanpur Rs 115 million, and Achham Rs 100 million to complete unfinished constituency strategic roads.


According to the ministry, individual project allocations range from Rs 3 million to Rs 143 million, depending on the scope and funding needs of each project.
