Lama accompanied by Bishnu Lama and Ratna Lama opened fire which claimed a life of a 10-year-old school boy Santosh Karki of Dolakha over a petty neighborhood dispute on January 20, 2010. .[break]
An armed gang hired by Lama had opened fire at his neighbors because local residents had complained about his stockpiling construction materials on the street and obstructing movement of people at Kandaghari, Gothatar-8.
Bishnu Lama surrendered before police and Ratna was arrested from Banepa.
