KATHMANDU, July 9: Gold prices fell sharply in the domestic market on Thursday, with fine gold losing Rs 2,400 per tola in a single day, while silver also posted a notable decline.
Gold and silver prices remain steady
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), fine gold is being traded at Rs 284,700 per tola, down from Rs 287,100 on Wednesday. Silver fell by Rs 160 per tola to Rs 4,340 from the previous day's Rs 4,500.
In the international market, gold is trading at around USD 4,075 per ounce, while silver is priced at USD 57 per ounce, according to international media reports.
