Gold hits record high of Rs 63,300

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Gold price hit its all-time high of Rs 63,300 per tola (11.664 grams) in domestic market on Wednesday.



According to Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers´ Association (FNEGOSIDA), the price of yellow metal increased by Rs 3,400 per tola today.[break]



The precious metal was traded at Rs 59,900 per tola on Tuesday in local market. On Tuesday, the gold price was increased by Rs 996 on Monday’s price.



According to Mani Ratna Shakya, president of FNEGOSIDA, gold price increased due to price surge in the international bullion market as well as the deprecation of Nepali rupee vis-a-vis US dollar.
