The yellow metal was traded at Rs 59,000 per tola in the local market when its price reached $ 1,658 per troy ounce decreasing by US$ 9 compared to the price recorded a day earlier in overseas market. [break]
Gold was priced at Rs 59, 300 per tola on Wednesday.Traders attributed the decline in domestic market to the fall in the price of the precious metal in the source markets.
However, price of silver remained unchanged from Tuesday, when it was traded at Rs 1,120 per tola.
