Four moderate quakes recorded

KATHMANDU, Aug 24: National Seismology Centre (NSC) has recorded four moderate earthquakes measuring 4.4 to 5.6 in the Richter scale on northern part of the country in Rukum-Rolpa border on Thursday night and Friday morning.



The tremor measuring 5.6 in Richter scale was recorded at 10:15 pm followed by another of 4.4 magnitude at 10.27 pm on Thursday. The third quake of 4.4 Richtar scale was measured at 6:02am on Friday. [break]



Seismologist Som Nath Sapkota at NSC informed that last tremor of 5.2 magnitude was recorded in the same area at 9:40 on Friday morning.
