Former PM Bhattarai hospitalized (Update II)

KATHMANDU, April 20: Former Prime Minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai has been admitted to Norvic International Hospital at Thapathali in the capital Monday afternoon after suffering from high fever and complaining of difficulty in breathing.



The octogenarian Nepali Congress leader is attended by cardiologist Dr Bharat Rawat and chest specialist Dr Ramesh Chokhani who suspect him to be suffering from possible Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) and chest infection.



Bhattarai has had cardiac, lungs and kidney checkups and the reports will come on Tuesday, according to Dr Rawat.



“He will be here for about three-four days and medicines will be readjusted accordingly,” Dr Rawat said.
