The delegation, which also includes Dr Anil Sooklal - director general of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa (DoICSA) and Johannes Hamman - deputy director of DoICSA, has agreed to develop a linkage between private sectors in two countries so that both the countries can benefit in terms of trade and investment.

According to a press release issued by FNCCI, both the sides held discussion on enhancing economic relationship between Nepal and South Africa. “The meeting focused on prospects of investment in Nepal, international markets for Nepali productions and trade volume between the two countries, among others,” reads the release.

“The private sectors of the two countries should work on increasing low volume of trade between the two countries,” the release quoted ambassador Doidge as saying.
