Fire guts properties worth Rs 2m

MYAGDI, Babiyachaur, Aug 28: Properties worth Rs 2 million were gutted in a fire outbreak at a shop of Kamnath village in Pakhapani VDC on Monday night.



All goods- rice, salt, cooking oil, dal, clothes- turned into ashes in the fire occurred at the shop owned by Nandu Chochangi, said Yukumar Garbuza, head teacher of the Amar Secondary School of Pakhapani.[break]



The Pakhapani Police Post said the properties worth Rs 2 million were gutted in fire that destroyed the entire house.



The locals, police persons and an army team extinguished the fire.



How the shop/house caught fire is yet to ascertain.
