Fire due to gas leakage guts property worth 2m

CHITWAN, Ratnanagar, Aug 13: A fire broke out at two hotels due to leakage of cooking gas at Narayangadh on Monday morning.



The Parvat Mistanna Store and Tamu Hotel caught the fire at 6:00 am, said Area Police Office, Narayangadh.[break]



The locals put out the fire with the help of police and a fire engine of Bharatpur Municipality.



The Chitwan police said the fire might have broken out due to gas leakage at Parvat Mistanna Store. However, further investigation was underway, police added.



Preliminary investigation said the fire damaged the properties worth Rs 2 million.



No human casualty has been reported in the incident.
