Fire destroys 15 houses

LAHAN, Aug 2: Fifteen houses of eight families were destroyed by a fire in Rajbiraj on Monday. The fire broke out after a short circuit in Usman Miyan’s house in Rajbiraj-2 and gutted property worth Rs 1.5 million, police said.



Fifteen houses including two of Usman Miyan and one each of Saini Ram, Kasi Ram, Gurudev Ram, Israfil Miyan and Haidar Miyan were completely destroyed in the incident.



It took hours for locals, police and the fire brigade of Rajbiraj Municipality to douse the fire.
