Far Western to meet APF Club

KATHMANDU, Dec 30: Far Western Cricket Development Club won third consecutive group stage match on Thursday to book the berth in final of the Madan Bhandari Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament.



In last Group B match, Far Western defeated Rudramati Club by five wickets to go atop the group with six points from three matches.[break]



Rudramati, electing to bat, put up 110/9 in 20 overs at the TU Cricket Ground. Pabidra Rajbhandari was top-scorer in the side with 35 runs. Santosh Bhatta and Naresh Budhayer took three wickets each while Bhuwan Karki claimed two wickets for Far Western.



In reply, Far Western met the target in 18.3 overs losing five wickets. Santosh Bhatt scored unbeaten 26 for the winning side.



Far Western will take on Nepal APF Club in the final on Saturday at the TU Cricket Ground.



In the last group A match, Boyz United Cricket Club defeated New Vision club by 114 runs and completed the group round in second spot. Boyz United put up 172/6 in 20 overs and restricted New Vision for at 58/10 in 16.1 overs.
