"He is becoming weak and not in the condition to speak much," Chairman of the University Teachers´ Association at Maharajgunj Campus, Professor Dinesh Bikarm Pokhrel, said. "All our attempts to persuade Dr KC to end his fast have failed. He is steadfast on continuing his fast until his demands are met," Pokhrel added.
The newly appointed Dean Baskota met Dr KC on Wednesday and requested him to break his fast. Pokhrel said that Dr KC congratulated Baskota, but refused to discontinue the fast.
Meanwhile, doctors at the teaching hospital continued to halt Out Patients Department (OPD) and paying services on Wednesday, arguing that there is no environment to work at the hospital. Many patients had to return disappointed after they failed to get services.
