Dozen injured in campus clash

KATHMANDU, April 19: Around a dozen students in a clash between two students groups at Pashupati Multiple Campus, Chabahil late Thursday afternoon.



Those injured in the clash were rushed to Om Hospital and Kathmandu Model Hospital for treatment, said SSP Rajendra Shrestha, chief of Metropolitan Police Range, Hanumandhoka. [break]



According to Nepal Students Union President Ranjeet Karna, the clash ensued after a group of about 10 cadres affiliated to CPN-UML aligned Youth Force attacked NSU cadres on the campus premises with Khukuri and opened blank fire.



NSU activists Ramesh Khadka and Arjun Bhandari have been critically injured in the incident. They are currently undergoing treatment at Om Nursing Home.
