Diarrhea spreads in Bardiya

BARDIYA, April 26: With rising temperatures, the number of people suffering from diarrhea is rapidly increasing in the district.



Of the patients visiting the district hospital in Gulariya, 75 percent are suffering from diarrhea.



The hospital said that children are the most affected by the disease.



The beds in the hospital are full of diarrhea patients, apart from those suffering from pneumonia.



But inadequate doctors and medicine at the hospital are forcing patients to seek treatment outside as well.



Two weeks ago, diarrhea claimed the life of 56-year-old Devikala Adhikari of Sanoshree VDC.
