Diarrhea kills six in Dang

DANG, July 29: The death toll from the diarrhea epidemic in different Village Development Committees (VDCs) in Dang district has increased over the last few days.



The death toll has reached six after a woman died due to diarrhea in Urahari VDC Thursday. [break]



Diarrhea has spread in Rampur, Panchakule, Urahari and Goltakuri VDCs and Tulsipur Municipality-10.



Sixty-five years old Katauji Budhathoki of Urahari VDC-5 died due to diarrhea today. She died while being taken to Nepalgunj for treatment.



It is learnt 29 people at Tulsipur Municipality-10 are suffering from diarrhea that broke out there since the last one week.



The District Public Health Office, Dang, said diarrhea was under control despite reports of outbreak of diarrhea in various VDCs in the district.
