"The body of a man, who appears in his early 40s, has been found in the water stuck on a stone under the Bagmati bridge near Thapathali this morning," said an official at the Metropolitan Police Circle.
The man was on a vest and half pants with his face downward. The body was almost decomposing and seemed to have been brought by the river swollen due to recent rains,” said police.
Further investigation is underway.
