He was beaten up while he was in course of election publicity campaign at Khojpur VDC-7 in the district at 10:00 pm yesterday.
He has sustained injuries on face and other parts of the body and is being treated at Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Hospital, said DSP Shyam Singh Chaudhary at the District Police Office.
Investigation is underway about the case, said police.
