Cops injured while trying to settle brawl

BAGLUNG, Oct 16: Two policemen were seriously injured after they intervened in a fight in Baglung on Saturday night.



Police personnel Dipendra Sukla and Mukesh Harijan of District Police Office (DPO), Baglung were injured in the incident, according to DSP Uma Prasad Chaturvedi, of DPO, Baglung. [break]



They had reached Santosh Nepali´s house in Baglung Municipality-3 to stop the fight, where they were attacked by a group including Nepali.



The wounded policemen are undergoing treatment at Dhaulagiri Zonal Hospital, Baglung.



Police have detained Nepali, his mother Laxmi, sister Jamuna Bohara, friends Sher Bahadur Gurung and Ganga Gurung in connection with the attack.



A case of attempted murder will be filed against the assailants, informed DSP Chaturvedi.
