A squad from Naudanda police post nabbed Shankar Nepali, 25, of Phulbari, Pokhara-11 and Top Bahadur Nepali alias Pappu, 25, of same locality for being involved in fraudulent activities. [break]
The duo, in the guise of pain-clothes policemen, used to take those involved in illegal activities, under control and collect money from them, said Bhuwaneshor Tiwari, police inspector at the Ward Police Office, Bagar.
During interrogation, the two have admitted to having committed the crime, informed police. They had been involved in such crime since the past five-six months as none of their victims filed any complaint with police.
Police said a case will be registered against the culprits under public offense act.
