CC to name subcommittee coordinator on Monday

KATHMANDU, Feb 27: The Constitutional Committee (CC) of the Constituent Assembly will on Monday to appoint the coordinator of the subcommittee formed to settle outstanding constitutional issues.



“We held an informal meeting of the subcommittee and discussed ways to move ahead. If thing go as planned, we will select the coordinator on Monday,” said CC Chairman Nilambar Acharya.



The meeting was made informal as the subcommittee member from the Nepali Congress (NC) Nilambar Acharya was out of town on Sunday.



The subcommittee comprises Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, NC parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Paudel, UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, Kalpana Rana from CPN (United) and Sadbhavana Party leader Laxman Lal Karna.



“We also reached an understanding to ask other leaders to be invitee members,” said Acharya.
