CC meeting postponed amidst tense situation

KATHMANDU, March 31: The Constitutional Committee meeting of the Constituent Assembly has been postponed due to tense situation.



The meeting on Thursday became tense after few lawmakers expressed their dissatisfaction over not getting time to speak during the meeting.[break]



Constitutional Committee’s President Nilamber Acharya postponed the meeting citing difficulties to commence the meeting in a peaceful manner.



It is learned that during the meeting, the lawmakers strongly expressed their dissatisfaction over ignoring the marginalized community in the new constitution in the making.



The meeting will take place on Friday morning.
