The case was registered in the office according to Public Crime Act after the school and the teacher´s family lodged the complaint against Devan.
Devan had thrashed the teacher outside the school premises citing the latter did not allow Devan´s sister for cheating during the exam hour.
Injured Ansari is undergoing treatment in the hospital, said a school source.
