CA candidates held on gambling charge released

BIRATNAGAR, Oct 20: All the people arrested on the charge of gambling here Saturday night have been released in absence of sufficient evidences to prove them guilty.



According to the District Police Office, Morang, a total of 17 people including two Constituent Assembly (CA) candidates from Constituency No. 7 Samudramani Koirala and Chandra Kumar Mandal of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Madhes) were caught on the charge of gambling.



Acting on a tip-off, the police had raided the house of Samudramani Koirala at Biratnagar-4 at around 11:00 pm and arrested them. They all have been released on Sunday.
