CNI, ICC sign MoU to enhance bilateral trade
KATHMANDU: Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ICC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to work together for development of both the countries through trade and sharing of information. According to a press statement on Wednesday, Binod Chaudhary, president of the CNI and Dr Murat Yalcintas of ICC signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. “While signing the MoU, both the parties agreed to hold an Investment and Business Exhibition in Nepal in the near future to promote business prospects of both the countries,” reads the statement.
"Economic and trade relations have to be within a framework of laws and regulations in both the countries. There should be regular exchange of market information about the economic development of Turkey and Nepal to open up further development of trade between the countries," the statement quoted Chaudhary as saying. The representatives of CNI and ICC have agree to hold joint meeting in Turkey and Nepal respectively in future to further enhance bilateral trade and investment. “The MoU will help us strengthen commercial and economic ties between the two countries,” the statement quoted Dr Yalcintas as saying.
